“Not became Luxury”
What can I say about this resort? It’s a real outlier in the Maldives. It keeps all the private‑island vibes while sitting next to a local island that hosts the airport. The mostly Italian management gives a warm, familiar feel that suits our tastes. The food is excellent, and the whole staff is very friendly—many even speak a bit of Italian, which helps Italian guests who aren’t used to English. One unique perk is that you can grab a free bicycle and hop over to the local village whenever you like, maybe for a few small errands. I even picked up cans of soft drinks that aren’t sold in Italy anymore. The only slight downside is that you can’t really explore beyond the airport area because there’s no road to the far end of the island. Satellite images show a long stretch of beach that would be lovely to visit. The only real flaw, if you can call it that, is that in the mornings you see a lot of plastic waste washing in from elsewhere. The staff clean it up right away, so guests aren’t bothered, but it’s sad to see how much plastic pollutes the Indian Ocean. Like most Maldives resorts, prices rise every week due to taxes and high demand as rooms are always booked. That trend will likely shorten average stays and push the clientele toward one‑off visitors rather than repeat guests. Even with that caveat, I give it a solid 9+ out of 10.
