“Agradable estancia”
The bathroom was cramped and the room had an unpleasant odor.
The property itself was clean, but the breakfast menu lacked variety.
The location was great for trips to Santa Cruz, nearby towns, and national parks, and Monterey was worth a visit; the surrounding beaches were beautiful, but the breakfast room was far too small, always overcrowded, and staff never refilled the trays or cleared the trash in between.
“Not beach front like it says”
The bedding area was decent in size with large mirrors and plenty of light, yet the bathroom was tiny; the common area closed at ten, a fact that wasn’t mentioned on the booking or at check‑in, and although the hotel advertised a beachfront view, you can’t actually see the beach from the property because it’s about a block and a half away.
“AI photos, do not recommend.”
We were extremely let down by this place; the property didn't match the description and the room didn't offer the advertised ocean view. When we arrived, the room was visibly dirty, with floors that seemed never mopped. To top it off, the room above kept pacing the floor all night, making sleep nearly impossible. The overall experience fell far short of our expectations, especially regarding cleanliness, listing accuracy, and general quality.
