Tranquility Hotel

“Ok for 2 nights stay. Better value elsewhere in town.”

The location was good, the place was quiet, the staff were friendly, and breakfast was decent. The room was fairly clean but rather basic and small, making it uncomfortable for two people, yet it offered great value for money compared to better places in town at the same price.

“Ok for short stay”

The hotel staff were very friendly and tried to help with the issue. Breakfast was good. The room was cold until the window (facing inside) was closed, which improved the temperature. An opening at the top of the bathroom wall let the bathroom light spill into the sleeping area. There was no hot water at all; we were told to run the water for 5 minutes but even after over 10 minutes it remained cold. The front desk tried to help and the water briefly warmed for a few minutes, but when we tried to shower again there was no hot water. We ran the tap for 15 minutes or more and still no hot water. The water pressure was weak. The staff apologized the next morning and again suggested running the water for 5 minutes, which did not work. The bed felt a bit firm. There was no elevator, so carrying a suitcase up three flights of stairs was unpleasant.

“Great location, comfy and clean, room spacious .”

The location was very central to Plaza de Armas and felt safe for a solo woman traveler to walk around in the evening and day. The room was clean, the shower was large and hot, and the bed was very comfortable. It was very noisy with traffic during morning rush hour and a lot of horn honking. Breakfast was poor: bread, eggs, jam, juice, and mediocre coffee; it could have included fruit, avocado, or cereal. The decor in the main area was very dark.

The central spot is great, the place is very clean and quiet, and there were only a few guests during our visit.

Close to the train station, it’s quiet, simple but tidy, and the reception is very friendly.
