The setting was beautiful and the pub was the coziest I’ve ever been to. Our suite was stunning and super comfortable. I just wish they had porridge on the breakfast menu.

The place was superb, with an authentic pub area and modern rooms that stayed true to the vibe of the spot. Breakfast and the restaurant were both very good. An excellent address. The housekeeping of the room could be improved.

I got a decent breakfast, nothing special, but the smell of sewage in our en‑suite bathroom was overwhelming. The bath was stained and there were no bath products like bubble bath or soap. The floors in the breakfast room weren’t swept and had leaves on them. The paint on the stairs was chipped. Our “suite” only had two chairs and a very small coffee table—it wasn’t a suite at all. The car park was muddy with puddles, not surfaced, and there was hardly any space for guest parking.

The rooms were excellent. We had to change the booking when one of the party members couldn’t attend. The evening meal was lovely with great music. It wasn’t a problem when we had to leave very early. Nothing—everything was excellent.
