The location was amazing, and for what we paid we got more than we expected—there were extra beds and we could have had more people stay with us, so it was great value for money. The oven had no temperature gauge on the knob because it had rubbed off, some laminate on the cupboard doors was coming off, and the chopping knife could use sharpening.

“The renovation you do when you’re not doing a renovation”

The appliances were modern and the shower worked great, plus the bed was super comfy. But the building looked pretty run‑down from the outside and the inside felt like a patch‑up renovation rather than a polished space. It did the job for us, but calling it a “luxury apartment” feels a bit over the top.

“Needs a little more improvement to make it 5 star rating”

The place is right in the middle of everything, so you can walk or drive to shops. It’s a roomy house with two toilets, a laundry area, and beds that are really comfortable. Kids had plenty of space to play outside and the price was great for the location. On the downside, the lamp on the left side of the bed had no globe, the TV had no reception or internet until I told the owner, and the main bathroom had a broken towel rack, toilet roll holder, and a shower head that needed replacing.

Two toilets, a big living area, a comfy lounge suite, and heating made the place feel spacious and cozy. But I found blood on my sheet from the previous guest, which meant the bedding hadn’t been changed before we arrived. The night manager did swap the sheets at midnight, but it still ruined the vibe for me.
