I showed up to find the room already occupied by another woman because the place had been double‑booked. I ended up losing both the money I’d paid and a place to stay, and the staff wouldn’t return any of it.

The front desk staff were on point—manager was courteous, took care of my problems right away. Unfortunately the other guests were pretty cold and made the atmosphere uncomfortable.

The spot is handy, right where I needed to be, but the room left a lot to be desired. It wasn’t very clean, the door let in a lot of noise, and I kept hearing doors slam and things drop. The listing promised a private bathroom, yet I shared one with three other people, and the doorbell kept ringing late at night, ruining my sleep.

The host pulled the plug at the last minute, so I had to scramble for another place and pay a lot more than I’d planned.

The house itself is roomy and right at the doorstep, but a few of the other renters didn’t mind blasting the TV after 10 p.m., which made it hard to keep the noise down.
