“Great place for a few nights”

It was quiet and the place had been nicely remodeled, but the new carpets were laid over uneven old floors.

“Drive over the border into Georgia and avoid this PIT of a town at all cost”

The bed was comfortable and there was a decent ice machine, but the staff were totally unobservant, unfriendly, spoke barely any English, and knew little about the area; there was no dining option except Wendy’s and Waffle House, so we were so sketchy we couldn’t wait to leave. The breakfast was awful—just yogurt, cold coffee, and a green banana, which was piss poor.

“Decent stay, fair price.”

The bed was comfy and the shower was decent, plus the indoor pool was a nice touch, but the front desk staff were often missing.

Everything was great, especially the wide variety of food, but the event closed at 9:00, which was too early for me—my husband went, but I’d have preferred it to finish at 10:00.

“Hot, smelly, cockroach hotel!”

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We could not get the thermostat to work, it wouldn't even come on and the room was hot. Finally figured out the actual air conditioning unit under the window was unplugged and we could use manual controls, however, it still didn't cool the room down enough to be comfortable the whole entire night. We had food we needed to be kept in the refrigerator and it wasn't cold either. We could not get the TV controls to work on the sound and it was blasting. Then we couldn't even get the TV to turn off. We could change the channels so we knew the remote batteries was not the issue. Finally we just had to unplug the TV to get it to turn off. The next morning we found two German cockroaches in the bathroom. One of them was up on the sink countertop on top of the tissue box sitting on the top of a tissue! I have pictures of it. We caught one of the cockroachs and showed the front desk person upon checkout. He wasn't even concerned about it. When we were eating breakfast there was hardly no food left with an hour of the breakfast still going on. Also our room had a real weird odor when we checked in. We should have just left and went somewhere else but honestly we had been driving for so long we were exhausted and just wanted to lay down. We didn't find the Cockroaches until the next morning when we were getting ready to leave. If we would have found them the night we checked in we would have left for sure. Terrible place to stay!!
