We felt warmly welcomed and the host was extremely kind and helpful; the view and the spot (very wild) are incredible—simplicity at its best.

I stayed in a charming little town that was quiet and had several nearby attractions, especially the Smoo Cave. The shower area was right next to the main dorm entrance, so when someone entered from outside you’d be exposed—often just wrapped in a towel, like we saw at arrival. There were no wall sockets in the room, only an extension cord that could fit ten people.
