The location was ideal and easy to access, the cottages were clean and had a very friendly dog. There was a bonfire area and a kids play zone. We were not pleased with how the host handled us when we were late to check‑out with just 8 minutes; we understood we were supposed to leave on time, but he could have handled the situation professionally. Also the place has a field and we decided to play football, but he wasn't happy about that because of the noise; you can't play football when you are silent, of course. We think he should set up the place so that every guest is comfortable and happy in whatever activities they are doing, or write rules and restrictions such as “don’t play football because you will make noise for other guests.” Also we had booked a 3‑bedroom but were called to change to 2 cottages instead. If the 3‑bedroom was not available, why did the booking go through?

Wooden Knee Cottages is a beautiful serene gem. The host, Mr. Patrick, is polite, kind, and friendly, making our stay memorable. I rate this place 100/10.

Wooden Knee Cottages is a hidden gem in Nanyuki. The cottage was spacious, with readily available warm water and excellent cleanliness. Amenities include a fridge, Wi‑Fi, TV, a basic kitchen with an oven, stove, and microwave, as well as a children’s playground and firepit. The friendly owner speaks excellent English. The property is also located within a fenced area, offering a quiet neighborhood experience. A high value property. These are a few things to consider when staying here. It is located away from the main road, making it more accessible with your own car. Not a problem for us. Food is not available on site, but given the kitchen available, cooking our own meal is possible.
