“Mallorca ist immer wieder eine Reise wert, nur dieser Gastgeber "NIE WIEDER"”
The pool was unusable—water was a solid green, clearly alive. They bragged about the “antique” furnishings, but they looked like a bad thrift shop. The washer and dryer were still loaded with laundry, and both were broken. All the wardrobes wouldn’t open or only opened with great effort, and they smelled like old wood because of the “antique” claim. So we decided to live in our suitcases. During our stay the landlord asked if we could do garden work during the day, which we agreed to. After a day trip, we discovered a pool party had taken place in our rented property, and the house’s rooms were entered by the landlord’s family and friends without our permission. The toilets were completely wet—apparently from damp swimwear—and we had to clean them ourselves. The fridge and other appliances were used too. All the doors seemed to stay open all day, letting in pests (we were staying with small children!). When we complained to the landlord, he simply said, “Slowly, slowly… (his English was very poor) – don’t get upset, everything is fine.” We took our time writing this review so we wouldn’t pour all our bottled-up frustration into it. In over 30 reviews we’ve left, this one was especially hard because… “without words!!” The 3‑star rating is still fairly generous. Never again!
