The hostel is very well located, they provide towels at no extra cost, and the common areas are wonderful. I would definitely stay at Chez Zany again! The hostel could offer information in Portuguese instead of only English.

The location is great, the staff are attentive, and I really liked how the place cared about noise during rest. I loved the cat feijoada and the Saturday breakfast.

Gabi, Adri and the glasses‑wearing mouse made my stay perfect 😇 incredibly sweet girls, everything clean and the best equipped kitchen in 3 months of Central & South America 👨🍳 the location was very good… supermarkets, bars, restaurants within walking distance 🍻… and the famous RIO staircase is also within walking distance 🤩 I only wanted to book one night, but it turned into ten nights 🌃 Keep it up girls 😘 greetings to the potato lady 😂 and that’s not a hotel 😂 still dream about it 😰 No complaints.

The volunteers were incredibly polite and helped us with everything we needed. We loved the stay! The location is great, close to everything, perfect for heading to a bar or grabbing groceries and pharmacy without needing an Uber. We’ll definitely come back more often! ❤️

It was an excellent experience! The volunteers were very welcoming and the cleaning supervisor also helped out. Everything was very comfortable and secure. I made friends and had a lot of fun.
