What an amazing spot and staff! It feels like an Austrian inn but surrounded by hummingbirds and other birds. The resident dogs are fantastic and get plenty of attention. Everything was possible, and our kids had a great time.

Nothing. Everything - the lodge is old, damp and it has a bad smell. The room (king deluxe suite) is also outdated, damp and smelly - dirty carpets everywhere and sofas that are older than me (I was born in the 70s!). There is nothing inviting about this place. The decor is sketchy: the paintings picture naked people in both bedrooms. We visited the main lodge: as disappointing as the room: old, uninviting, damp, smelly and what to say about the paintings: we had to explain to our children why the man has his hand down his pants! The hotel might have been nice 40 years ago but it needs a major revamp! The photos on Booking are misleading. Everything has a price tag: even going in the hot tub and the sauna. On site, we learned that only 2 breakfasts were included (even if we paid for 5 people in the room). The pond is more like a swamp. There are flies everywhere - not to mention dog hair from the multiple dogs owned by the staff. The lodge is right off the road: very noisy. The "exceptional" ratings have to be fake. We left after two hours. We were not comfortable being there at all. We would rather leave/lose our money than stay there any longer. We do not understand why this listing is on Booking. Our advice: stay away! Go to Boquete and drive to Baru/Volcan if you want to see it

Location. The place is beautiful. It offers tour options. It has more than one location, so you need to confirm the location in the reservation. I was confused by the reception message; I wasn’t clear where exactly my accommodation was.

Everything is quiet and peaceful. I know it’s eco-friendly, but I missed the TV.
