“Fab hotels booking is fake fake fake”
I don’t prefer to book through Fab Hotels because it’s all fake; after booking they take advance, and when I arrive the room staff say it’s already sold out, and the same people tell me Fab Hotels had no booking on the days I booked. I went with my family trusting FabHotels and suffered a lot; it’s not FabHotels, it’s fake hotels.
⚠️ I booked FabHotel Martini’s Residency in Pondicherry after seeing good ratings on the platform, and no advance was required by the booking policy, but a staff member from FabHotel contacted me directly and asked for a ₹650 advance; I paid it because it was a weekend and I didn’t want to risk losing accommodation, then only received a receipt confirmation. My follow‑up queries were ignored. When I arrived in Pondicherry I was shocked to be told the hotel was fully booked and my reservation had already been cancelled without any intimation; I was left stranded despite having a confirmed booking and having paid an advance. Speaking to the hotel directly, they showed me their communication with the Fab group, clearly indicating that my booking had already been cancelled, yet the advance was still collected from me. Even worse, FabHotel continued to claim my reservation was “active,” when in reality no room existed. It became clear that FabHotel operates on a commission‑based tie‑up model with little accountability to guests, collecting advance money after knowing a booking is cancelled and misrepresenting booking status to booking platforms, which is highly unethical. After this incident I reviewed Google ratings more carefully and noticed multiple similar reviews describing the same pattern—advance money being collected, bookings cancelled without notice, and guests stranded on arrival—making it clear that my experience was not isolated and is deeply concerning. Despite contacting customer care and escalating the issue, no effective resolution was provided, so I am posting this review across platforms solely to warn other travellers.
“Bon hôtel à recommander, prévoir mug et diffuseur anti moustiques”
I stayed for two nights in January 2025. The room was a decent size with a clean, well-maintained bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the sheets and pillowcases were spotless. There was a table and a chair, an A/C unit, a fan, hot water, an electric kettle, toilet paper, and a toiletry kit. The surroundings were fairly quiet. The front desk staff were friendly, pleasant, and helpful, and paying by credit card was a big plus. On the downside, there was a wardrobe but no hangers. There were many power outlets but only one worked. Mosquitoes were present and there was no mosquito repellent diffuser. The kettle was there but there were no glasses or cups, and the pillows could have been cleaner.
Good. Good
“Excellent value for money in the heart of Puducherry near French Quarter and market”
The location was great, but the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner.
