I loved the place, but we stayed in a ground‑floor room and the people upstairs kept moving things around late into the night, which really disturbed our sleep.

Everything. The lodge is run by a South African family with a lot of love and heart. We were welcomed very warmly, and the lodge had everything you need, even Netflix if you want it ;-). The breakfast buffet was lovingly prepared and all wishes were met. The restaurants are within walking distance. You should definitely try the fish here—delicious and inexpensive. The wildlife park is also very close. Unfortunately—or thankfully—we didn’t see any hippos near the accommodation/village. Everything was good!
