The reception was empty all afternoon into the evening, so checking in was impossible.
The staff are genuinely nice people, but the place needs more help for the one person who does everything. I’m sure a team effort could bring things back on track.
The hotel is budget friendly and clean.
The new cleaner, who just started, was polite, which was the only good thing. The grounds manager is a real piece of work and I would never stay there again; the place claims to be pet‑friendly, but if your dog is bigger than a cat you’ll run into trouble.

That bed was so comfortable, warm, and snuggly—it kept shifting all afternoon in the rain, but it was bliss! The room stayed warm, dry, and quiet, the shower was brilliant, hot, and everything smelled clean. The only annoyance was a permanent resident who was fixing his dead car on the day I needed to unload my Ute, which was literally the only complaint.
