The pool was nice and the place looked beautiful. It felt very remote and most of the time we were alone in the hostel without other guests or staff, so we felt a bit isolated. It was hard to reach the staff. There was no nearby food or drinks at the hostel, so we had to go to another hostel nearby that offered those.

We went in for a night and stayed two because it was so chill. Will, the host, and his dog Mariposa made us feel right at home – the pup even stole our hearts. He pointed us to off‑the‑beaten‑path spots and helped us order food. Every evening there was an outdoor movie for everyone. The only downside? He didn’t let us bring Mariposa back to Spain.

The place is huge and laid out beautifully – hammocks, little house‑style rooms, a killer pool, and a real jungle feel. Breakfast is amazing, and the host is fluent in English, full of tips, and makes you feel welcome. The only hiccup: in the off‑season there’s no dinner, but you can use the kitchen.

Location is awesome, surrounded by wildlife, and the pool is nice. The owner is charming and helpful. But the maintenance is lacking – half the toilets run out of toilet paper, mosquito nets are full of holes, and they only serve breakfast even though food service was advertised.

The spot is dreamy – a lovely pool in the middle of the jungle, plenty of monkeys, hummingbirds, and even a lizard. We were comfortable with the owner. However, basic stuff like shower gel, a towel, and a hair dryer were missing. The rooms are simple and you might run into bugs. There’s no food service or dinner, but the kitchen is free and the staff were ready to help us order.
