The room is a good size and has everything needed for a cozy overnight stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. It’s one of the hotels near the freeway, ideal for a road trip, and free tea in the morning is a nice bonus. The AC is close to the bedroom, but it’s manageable.

“Wonderful stay, likely to come back.”

The hotel is very tidy and comfortable. There are two restaurants on opposite sides—one perfect for breakfast, the other for dinner—and the staff are helpful. One side is quieter than the other; I got the quieter side once, but this time I was on the highway side.

“Sandman Hotel in Hamilton was very disappointing.”

There was no breakfast available. My stay at the Sandman Hotel in Hamilton was very disappointing: the room was dusty and didn’t feel properly cleaned, and the biggest problem was the lack of sound insulation. Because the hotel sits right next to the highway, almost every vehicle can be heard, even at night, and the noise from the room above was also very noticeable – we could clearly hear people walking and talking. It made it extremely difficult to sleep comfortably. Another frustrating part of the experience was having to follow up multiple times to get my invoice after checking out. I was told that because I booked, the invoice could simply be provided at checkout, but I think this should have been handled much more smoothly, regardless of where the reservation was made since they were the host. Overall, between the cleanliness, excessive noise, and poor follow‑up regarding the invoice, this was not the comfortable hotel stay I expected. I would not choose this hotel again.
