I checked in quickly, was greeted warmly, and the staff guided me to my room. The only hiccup was that at night, after we left the Carnival, we had to knock on the entrance door of the Panzió, which was a bit annoying because the night‑shift receptionist had to get up and let us in.

Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The parking lot was large and close to the restaurant. My room was bigger than I expected, and the staff were very friendly.

The place is conveniently located for car travelers, and it was great that there were three parking spots reserved for us.

We stayed at the pension twice, once on the way to Croatia and once on the way back. During our first visit we arrived after midnight, the doors to the pension were locked, and we thought we were somewhere else until the receptionist came to open them. The reception has a lovely aquarium and the whole pension feels pleasant. The parking is right next to the building and there were plenty of spots available at both of our arrivals. About 50 m from the pension (on the main road) is a COOP that opens at 5:45. The pension is ideal for a stopover on the road; you could even stay longer if you don’t want to cook. We would have appreciated a kettle in the room or at least in the hallway so we could brew tea or coffee anytime; a kitchen would be even better.
