The Semiramis hotel, designed by Karim Rashid, faces a tranquil green park in north Athens' Kifissia area. This Design Hotels member combines design, comfort, and functionality. Guestrooms and public areas showcase Rashid's signature style with vibrant colors. The hotel features a rotating art exhibition, internet TVs, and a restaurant serving Greek, European, and international cuisine, located near Kefalari Square and Athens' business centers.

The team is fantastic—they’re always smiling and helpful. Big thanks to Nick, Georgia, and Georgios, and sorry to all the other great staff whose names we don’t know. Everyone is great. This part of town is a lovely alternative to downtown: pretty, peaceful, and full of shopping and eating options. It’s a little tired and past its prime, and the breakfast doesn’t offer good value, but the breakfast team is still very good.

The location was perfect, rooms were clean and comfortable, and the housekeeping staff was wonderful. We didn’t like that one of the breakfast staff kept nagging my husband about it NOT being included in our room rate, and charging 30 euros per day per person felt a little outrageous.

The location was excellent and the hotel’s design impressed me. However, the breakfast fell short for a five‑star property; there was a lack of variety and the buffet was constantly empty. Only one staff member worked at the bar, making coffee while also tending to the buffet. Tables were dirty, and the previous guests would leave plates on the table, then the staff would just clear them. They even placed the trays on the crumbs left by the previous guests. The chair was sticky with honey, and overall it was unacceptable for a five‑star hotel.

I loved the location, a high‑end suburb north of Athens with upscale shopping and excellent restaurants; the room was clean, modern, and the beds were comfortable, but the art‑deco design felt funky.
