The room was comfortable and clean, and the location was great. A small drop‑leaf table might be useful for eating, just a suggestion, not a complaint.

“Terrible”

Only the location was good; the room had no lock, and when we told a staff member, she lied that they were out of locks. The same staff member warned other guests that our room had no working lock and would be open, but we didn’t know those people and they were strangers. I asked why she’d tell them that and got no answer, no apology, no reimbursement offer. She seemed fine with us staying in a room anyone could access. We had to put furniture against the door at night to feel somewhat safe. At check‑out, another staff member said, “I’m glad you had a good stay.” Avoid this place entirely; the staff also need cleaning training because the property has limescale, mould, and rotten wood everywhere. We would have booked elsewhere, but we had travelled far for a family wedding and all nearby accommodation was booked out.

“Excellent location for a night in Carlingford. Close to all amenities. Lively friendly helpful staff!”

The location in the town centre was excellent, close to everything. The room was very spacious and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. A coffee maker in the room would have been nice.
