The motel burned down, and they didn't have smoke alarms or sprinklers, which was terrifying.

Getting to the property from the road was easy, and the nearby food spots were convenient, but the room, while clean, didn't smell fresh; a better approach would have been to wipe it with clean water and disinfectant and let it air out instead of spraying a deodorizer in a stale space.

The water pressure and hot water in the shower were good, the mattress was shockingly comfortable, and the AC worked, but the entire room smelled like an old ash tray (and our clothes did too after we left), there were burn holes in the sheets, the bedspread looked diseased, and the door had definitely been kicked in at one or more points; it was one of the cheapest places in town yet still far overpriced for what it was.
