“Nice property but not very peaceful”

The room was spacious, the bed comfy, and the shower great with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and body lotion provided. A mini fridge was a bonus. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained, and a small convenience shop at reception was handy. Wi‑Fi was decent throughout the property. However, the walls and floors were paper‑thin, so I could hear everything in adjacent rooms and the traffic on the main road around Arequipa—constant noise that would ruin a light sleeper’s sleep, so earplugs are a must. The bathroom hairdryer was unreliable.

“Très déçu !”

The location and outdoor space were good. We were very disappointed with the hotel; it felt like we were bothering the staff and they made no effort to accommodate us. It was the most expensive hotel we paid for in Peru and the least liked. Our room (1207) was so tiny that two people couldn’t move around or even reach the sides of the bed. There was no insulation, it was extremely cold, and the old cotton mats on the floor made it look unclean. Only one shower and one toilet served the entire floor (seven rooms), and the toilet was in the same room as the shower, which was awkward. There were long waits! The restaurant was good (except for the frozen brownie), but I had to clear my own plates several times after more than 30 minutes of waiting while alone, and the staff were on their phones. The outdoor space was nice but always hosted influencer events, and we weren’t treated the same as them.

“I don’t get the hype?”

The location was good and the outdoor area looked promising, though I never used it. The beds were fairly comfortable. The rooms were small, dark, and dingy, and the shared bathroom had one toilet and shower for about eight rooms. When I mentioned my room smelled like cat pee, the staff were reluctant and made me feel like a burden.

The facilities look really pretty, but the breakfast buffet lacked variety, there was no conditioner in the bathroom, and they didn’t leave us the TV remote.

“Uitstekend!”

The room was nice and clean, the location was good, and the garden, pool, and bar were all very pleasant; the reception was always open, reachable, and very helpful when we needed it; the food was more than fine; I found the atmosphere cozy and would book again. Nothing really stood out as negative, though parking directly in front of the door is difficult because the hotel sits on a narrow alley, which I actually saw as a benefit since it keeps the spot quiet.
