“A good hostel for backpackers in Siem Reap”

The hostel sits in a central spot, just minutes from the riverside and surrounded by shops and restaurants, and a café downstairs. The dorm was large, the bed comfortable and modern, and lockers were available for personal items. The showers and toilet were decent but not very clean; I wouldn’t blame the staff for guests’ mess, but more frequent cleaning of the bathrooms would be appreciated.

“Comfortable but stairs challenging”

I slept well, even though the area is in the red‑light district, but no one in the dorm complained about the low outside noise. The mattress was comfortable, though the bunk bed above me shook when the person tossed or turned—enough to be annoying when I wanted to rest, but not enough to wake me. We had a balcony to dry towels and clothes, decent cupboard space, and room for luggage. Wi‑Fi never failed. The young staff were polite and accommodating, while the senior staff seemed very business‑focused. The staircase was far worse than expected: ten steps, then a landing, five steps, another landing, ten steps again—only one level of the hotel—then another three levels before reaching the dorm floor. I left my luggage on the ground floor for the whole stay. The bathroom setup was problematic: constantly damp and wet from pipes leaking onto the floor, and the sink water didn’t flow through a pipe but fell directly onto the floor. Despite these issues, I’d stay again if the stairs weren’t so challenging.

“Good stay in Phnom Penh”

The beds are quite large, and the arrangement keeps noise to a minimum—only the people next to you are audible. Big lockers are perfect for bags, plugs work well, and the reception staff were very nice and welcoming. The bathrooms aren’t cleaned often enough, and most of the soap/shower gel dispensers were empty. Even after staying twice, the bathrooms were not great but still decent, with a little hot water.
