“Excellent hotel in Excellent location in Kunming”

A big, luxurious property that’s brand new. We first got a huge room, then moved to a standard room on the 25th floor with great city views; it was very spacious, super clean, comfortable, and everything was high‑tech and automated, even the curtains. The breakfast for Westerners was excellent. We loved the stay and can’t see why it received low ratings on Booking. The staff were friendly but spoke very little English; otherwise, it was just perfect.

“Convenient and clean hotel.”

Nice location and beautifully maintained, but there’s no concierge so you have to haul your own bags up. Free laundry is available. The middle‑city spot means traffic takes time to reach it because of congestion, and the hotel is always crowded outside with restaurants and food counters.

The room offers a fantastic view, stays clean, and the bed and quilt are comfortable, though breakfast is just OK. The big issue is that the air conditioner turns on automatically at night even when we don’t need it, and we can’t shut it off from the room; we had to call reception twice at midnight. The emergency light stays on in the middle of the night and disturbs sleep.
