“Highly recommended for peace and tranquility”

We had a fantastic stay at Island Retreat Cottage. Joe and his lovely family work incredibly hard to keep this beautiful complex in outstanding condition, and it really shows. The location, right at the top of the hill, offers spectacular views across to Nusa Penida, especially at sunrise and sunset. It’s the perfect place if you’re looking for peace, tranquillity and a chance to escape the hustle and bustle. The whole property is beautifully maintained, the surroundings are stunning, and the family make you feel genuinely welcome. We would definitely recommend Island Retreat Cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing and peaceful stay. We’ll certainly be back!. What I didn’t like: Honestly, nothing. The cottage suited exactly what we were looking for — peaceful, quiet and away from the hustle and bustle. We couldn’t have asked for more

“Perfect and safe 2 women travelling alone”

Had the best 2 nights The hosts Joe and Wuyan made me feel safe and secure. Joe ensured our transport was safe and reliable. Also, omg the pool was perfect and exceptionally clean. The bedroom units were spotless with the best mattress and pillows ever. The aircon worked exceptionally well cool room. It was very special to meet and chat with the family Highly recommend. “Amazing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

From the instant we stepped onto the property, Joe and his wife welcomed us with genuine warmth and went above and beyond to arrange an unforgettable manta ray snorkeling excursion and a boat transfer to our next island; their kindness truly shines. The grounds are breathtakingly beautiful, and each room feels like a cozy hut that captures the essence of Nusa Lembongan. Cleanliness is impeccable—every room is spotless and clearly maintained with pride by Joe and his wife. The infinity pool offers a stunning sea view and plenty of loungers to relax on. If we ever return to Nusa Lembongan, this is the place we’ll choose without hesitation.

The place is absolutely gorgeous, with an incredible view, spotless surroundings, and a stylish, aesthetically pleasing design. However, it’s quite remote, so you’ll definitely need a scooter or a driver to get around. There was also no water dispenser, which would have been a nice convenience. I had an uncomfortable encounter with the owner: I arrived first and my friend came later, and when I mentioned she would be joining me, he claimed my reservation was for only one person. I checked the app, showed him the booking clearly listed two guests, and it left me wondering if I’d have been charged extra if I hadn’t proven it. He also told us we wouldn’t have enough time for the excursion we wanted, yet we booked it elsewhere and completed it without any issues, making me feel he was more interested in selling his own services than offering objective advice. That said, the staff were very kind, and the property was exceptionally clean.
