Laurel Lodge

“I had a lovely stay at Laurel Lodge and everything was excellent. This property is highly recommended”

I received a very warm welcome from the owner. The bed, shower, and breakfast were superb. It’s a good spot for local restaurants, which are 7–10 minutes away, and a 15‑minute drive from Woodhall Spa Golf Club.

“An ideal stop-off for Viking Way though-hikers.”

It’s ideal for solo walkers on the Viking Way, like me, since it’s only about 100 m from the Viking Way just north of Horncastle. From the accommodation it’s probably a 15‑minute walk into the town centre, but on good, well‑lit paths. I didn’t have an en‑suite bath/shower room in my budget single room, but there was an en‑suite WC, and this was reflected in what I paid for the room, which I thought represented good value for money. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and I enjoyed the excellent breakfast in the morning.

“Excellent I will be back”

Good location, nice and quite, good parking, clean, comfy, and a brilliant host. I never tried the breakfast, but I left to even so she offered, couldn’t do enough for me 👍.

“Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay.”

Bottles or water were provided in the room. I had bought some water, not wanting to be caught with nothing to drink after a long physical day getting dehydrated. Breakfast was made and brought to the breakfast room exactly at the agreed time. Everything was clean, and you couldn't really wish for more, especially at that price point. The en-suite was very small, and the basin was difficult to wash anything other than hands. However, the shower worked great and had a constant temperature
