Comfortable Double Room for One Person

The place was clean with a decent bathroom, close to shops, restaurants, and the train station. I didn’t use the kitchen or dining room, but they looked good and clean. The mattress is very uncomfortable; it is the worst I have ever slept on, with visible springs, so I didn’t sleep for two nights and hurt my back. When I arrived, they had not sent me any information about how to enter the property, and when I contacted them they didn’t know who I was. The curtains in the room do not cover the entire window, so it’s not good for light sleepers. The guy in the room next door played music early in the morning.

Breakfast wasn’t provided, but there were good facilities for preparing your own meals and storing food. I was visiting several friends and the location was convenient for traveling to other parts of the area. The facilities and comfort were very good, and I didn’t find the shared bathroom a problem at all. I felt the price was very good value. IMPORTANT: No address was given for the accommodation until very late in the arrival process, and there was no warning that this would happen. I sent an email in advance asking for the address, but didn’t get a reply. So I searched the website for directions to the property, but the address given (no. 30) was wrong (though the road name was correct), which of course I didn’t realise. I hadn’t found the email with the correct information by the time I arrived, and I caused a lot of confusion when I arrived at no.30 telling the poor woman there that I had booked to stay there! I then checked my phone for emails and found one giving full instructions including the correct house number, which was about 80 houses away. I can understand that the owner doesn’t want the address to be public, but PLEASE SEND ALL GUESTS AN EMAIL IN ADVANCE OR STATE ON THE WEBSITE THAT THE FULL PROPERTY ADDRESS WILL BE EMAILED ON THE DAY OF ARRIVAL (or the day before or whatever the system is).

“The stay wasn't bad for 2 nights. Not for long stay”

The location was very good, with many stores nearby and good transportation. The washer and dryer were a plus. The walls need painting; they’re dirty. The staircase is very dirty and unwelcoming. The pillows smell of sweat; I couldn’t use them to sleep and they need to be washed. Also the dining room table needs staining. A little TLC would make the place better. The front yard could also use good maintenance.

The owner was truly accommodating, which I appreciated, and the place had all the necessities you would need. The property itself was fine.
