The pool was nice. I was given a studio‑style room overlooking the pool instead of the partially sea‑view room I had booked. I had to go to the front desk to point this out, otherwise they wouldn’t have swapped my room. Getting to my room required taking two elevators; it felt like a maze and was honestly not practical—if you forget something, you regret it quickly. There was no water bottle in the room, so I had to notify them and they brought one, but it turns out there’s only one bottle at arrival and then you’re on your own. I chose the half‑board package, and I strongly advise against it: the breakfast was okay but the dinner was terrible. I had stayed before at Hotel Baia Azul, which is part of the same chain as the Alto, and I would recommend it *1000 %: same hotel category but everything is better—the breakfast, the room, the spa and pool area, and the staff are truly excellent. It doesn’t deserve such a high rating.
“décevant...”
I booked through Booking with a sea‑side view, but the room I received faced the pool at just 2 m from the swimmers and offered no sea view. After complaining, they managed to change my room, but the receptionist was very unpleasant, looking down on us, mocking us behind our backs, and claiming she didn’t have the Booking details… I had to show her to convince her. The hotel didn’t acknowledge the mistake even though it was obvious they were giving the worst rooms on Booking without stating it explicitly. We lost 1 h 30 min on that. We won’t return. Additionally, the evening buffet at €40 is very expensive for the dishes offered; we’d have been better off eating elsewhere.
“Heerlijk hotel met mooie kamers. Genoeg plek bij het zwembad om te zonnen. Leuke buurt”
De ligging. Voor ons niet echt een probleem maar de route naar de kamers was best ingewikkeld
The hotel is modern and welcoming, the room was spotless and offered a beautiful view of the pool. Nothing negative.
