The large entertainment area had games and an indoor braai, making it perfect for family get‑togethers, and the kitchen was well‑equipped with every self‑catering amenity imaginable. On the downside, the outside bedroom area and main braai area weren’t suitable for elderly or disabled guests, the stairs were higher than average with no handrails, the bedrooms and bathrooms were basic, and communication with the host was lacking.

Breakfast was excellent, but some room doors didn’t lock and the passage lights let bright light seep in through the glass doors at night; blinds or curtains on those doors would help.

The lodge exceeded our expectations; the layout kept the rooms separate from the main building, and everything we needed was available, including a fully stocked kitchen and an ice machine that was handy on hot days. We rented the game‑viewer vehicle for two days and the whole group loved being able to watch games from our own room at the times we wanted. I’d definitely return to Milkwood Safari Lodge. The only drawback was the bright outdoor lighting that persisted all night, with no option to dim or block it with curtains or blinds—adding that would improve the sleep experience.

The lodge was stunning, spotless, and orderly. Our rooms were roomy and cozy, and the outdoor facilities were excellent; we especially enjoyed the jacuzzi and the various spots to relax and take in the view. The staff were friendly and quick to respond.

Everything was flawless, thank you for everything! The only missing feature was safes in the bedrooms.
