Breakfast and dinner were good, and the scenery was nice. The access road from the main road to the guesthouse is gravelly and uneven in places, so if you don’t have an SUV you’re taking a risk. At night the coconuts sing, the dogs bark, making it a bit hard to sleep.

The place sits a few hundred metres from DN10 (Buzău‑Brașov) on the banks of Lake Siriu, all‑green: a wooden building, local spring water, solar panels for electricity, and TV signal via a network of routers. Service was flawless, staff courteous and skilled. Breakfast and dinner were tasty, buffet‑style, featuring local produce. A special bonus was the array of animals that delighted the kids and adults alike: four friendly dogs, a cat, two domesticated deer, plus parrots, ducks, geese, pigeons, turkeys, chickens and roosters. Everything was impeccably organized; perhaps only the access road and the landing area could use a facelift.
