The hotel is fully accessible and practical, but there's no elevator to the upper floors.

The inn had lovely character, especially in the dining room. The place was clean and well-maintained. The beds were very comfortable. The staff were friendly, and Kelsi went out of her way to provide for us when the initial coffee supply in the room was limited. The location is very convenient to all the main shops and also only steps away from the Rideau Canal & River. We are fairly fit, but the 3 long sets of stairs could be an issue for some.though worth the climb. Guests should be prepared for the possibility of parking a block or so away, if street parking is full.but at least it is free. There is a lovely courtyard but it is worth noting that it isn't available for guests (or at least not when a wedding is on). We didn't get the quoted price by ; but since it was only $10+tax more, and they were short-staffed, we didn't bother raising an issue

Check‑in is hassle‑free, the room is clean and cozy, especially the bed and pillows. The location is close to the Rideau Canal and a short walk to downtown. It’s a “character” hotel that still offers modern conveniences. Everything was great.

“Retour au 19e: bel hotel confortable et abordable”

The staff are friendly, the décor stays true to the 19th‑century style with consistent furnishings, and the outdoor bar in the courtyard is a highlight. It’s a pity that breakfast isn’t offered.
