Located in Heidelberg city centre, the Bergheim 41 Hotel im Alten Hallenbad offers modern design rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows, contemporary lighting, and flat-screen TVs. A rooftop garden provides city views. The hotel features a buffet breakfast, café with freshly baked cakes, and a seating area in each room. It's a 10-minute walk to the Old Town district and 1 km from Heidelberg Central Station.

Charging 250 € per night for a place with no lobby, no reception, and no seating area at night is unacceptable; it’s not even comparable to an Airbnb.

The rooms were bright, quiet, and pleasant. Breakfast featured freshly cooked egg dishes and a solid selection of everything you might need, though the buffet area felt a bit cramped. With both tram and bus stops nearby, the city is easily reachable, and the old town is within walking distance. Getting to the parking by foot was a bit confusing at first, but it eventually worked out; a pictorial guide for guests would be a helpful addition.

The room was gorgeous and the staff were friendly. You can park your car in the garage (just reserve it first), and a day pass for the bus is sold right outside the front door, making it super quick to hop on the bus or walk around town. A must‑do is visiting the lock: the best way is via the bus stop behind the hotel. Breakfast was delicious! We found the hallway and restaurant to be quite warm, but you can adjust the air‑conditioner or open the windows in your room.
