Right next to Riffelberg station, super convenient. This mountain retreat lets you see the dazzling starry sky and the sunlit peaks of Matterhorn; I was very satisfied. The restaurant is beautiful, breakfast is plentiful, the room price includes dinner, so the value is high.

The location is unbeatable and the views are stunning, the staff are friendly and the facilities are great, but the sauna never really heated up.

The outdoor jacuzzi, certain rooms, the restaurant, and the grounds all offer truly spectacular views of the Matterhorn. The restaurant’s food is good quality, especially for Half Board. Modern rooms and décor, and the staff are attentive. During dinner, every drink—including tap water—was charged; the minimum tap‑water fee was CHF 5.50, which I found very annoying—a rude surprise considering the rooms are already very expensive.

The views were spectacular, and the All‑Inclusive Half Board was great. The spa and sauna were enjoyable, and hiking to Riffelsee gave unobstructed sunrise views over the Matterhorn. The rooms were lovely and spacious. Make sure you contact the hotel to arrange a pick‑up from the train, because the path isn’t suitable for wheeling suitcases.
