Meadowbank B&B, a family‑run retreat in Ambleside, sits five minutes’ walk from the town centre and offers bright rooms with private bathrooms, TV, digital radio and free tea/coffee. Many rooms overlook Loughrigg Fell, the garden and Lake Windermere’s northern shore (just over a mile away). Guests enjoy cooked‑to‑order English breakfasts featuring local produce, with walking and cycling routes at the doorstep.

The double room was a good size with windows that opened fully; the room offered a nice selection of tea and coffee and fresh milk on request. Breakfast was good and the owners were friendly. Free parking and free Wi‑Fi were available, and wild deer visited the garden each morning. The town centre was a 10‑minute walk away, and I’ll return next year. Nothing to note.

Breakfast had many options, and the rooms were modern, cozy, and clean—much more updated than the photos. The host was friendly, accommodating, and helped with bag storage. We loved it here! All great.
