The Tre Cisterne are located in the historic centre, inside a 16th‑century building that has been renovated and furnished with antique pieces. A glass square on the floor of the room let us see an old cistern. Words cannot describe the exquisite kindness of the learned lady, a professor of Greek and Latin, who rattled us on the history of the building and Altamura. She met us outside the historic centre to help carry our luggage to the B&B and, when we returned, she brought us back to the car.

The authentic character of a building with a historic story really appealed to me. It was renovated with natural materials into a beautiful B&B with all modern comforts and very cosy décor. Quietly situated in one of the narrow alleys and close to the historic centre. Matera is easily reachable by car in 20 minutes. Annalisa is a sympathetic host, genuinely concerned about giving her guests a unique experience and offers the best advice: from parking, restaurant tips to extra sights.

A truly splendid B&B in the historic centre of Altamura. A unique setting, meticulously cared for in every detail, with an en‑suite bathroom and an extra‑large shower 🤩 Annalisa is a very kind host who passionately tells the story of the B&B, highlighting ancient traditions and the materials used in the renovation. The location is perfect for visiting the historic centre and getting lost in the aromas of the bread and focaccia from the ancient ovens. Finally, the breakfast is excellent, whether made in the B&B or at one of Altamura’s best pastry shops. In short: everything is perfect.
