I booked in the morning and tried calling the listed number, but no one answered. The listing said payment was made on arrival, so I thought no pre‑payment was needed. I also messaged the manager on WhatsApp, but responses were delayed. Relying on the listing, we headed to the camp. When we were near La Mesa, the manager told us the reservation wasn’t confirmed and that we had to send payment via Nequi to keep it. I explained that Booking said payment was upon arrival, but he just said he couldn’t accept us. As a result, we lost money on tolls and gas, wasted travel time, and had to return home. My advice to other travelers: don’t assume the booking is confirmed just because it’s on Booking. Check with the venue first if they require pre‑payment and ask for written confirmation before you start the trip, so you don’t end up in a situation like ours.
