There was an aroma diffuser in the room, which is unpleasant if you sleep in it!

The host was friendly and the place is right near the city centre, which made getting around easy. Unfortunately the flat smelled of cigarettes, the cleaning wasn’t great – I found cockroaches and spiders, and the furniture looked pretty old. Parking was hit‑or‑miss, so you can’t rely on a spot.

The host was really helpful and we got quick replies, which I appreciated. The downside was that the room turned out to be a basement suite that wasn’t mentioned – it was damp, the air felt heavy and the tiny window gave no view, plus the bathroom was dirty with spider webs and dust, and there was a strong cigarette odor throughout.
