The surroundings were beautiful, the traditional Japanese rooms were comfortable, and the common areas—both indoors and on the balcony—were great for hanging out, especially the bathtub. The check‑in process was very unclear; we arrived around 9 pm and no one was there to greet us or tell us which room we’d booked. We happened to meet another guest whom the host had asked to help us find our room, otherwise we’d have been lost.
