The carpet was heavily stained and the television didn’t work.
“Campanile, ce n’est plus ce que c’était !”
The bed, kettle, tea tray, and coffee were good, but the back‑of‑building room was unsanitary and the bathtub in the bathroom was a disaster.
The bathroom’s cleanliness needed improvement from ceiling to floor, the bath towels had stains that looked like they were worn out, but I was glad I brought my own.
“Bonne literie mais pas plus de 2 nuits par nécessité absolue”
The staff listened but the reception didn’t actively follow up on housekeeping requests or check the cleanliness of the reception toilets; the restaurant staff were attentive, quick, and friendly, yet the room’s hygiene was lacking with hair in the sink, a dusty hair dryer, an unrefilled toilet roll, and old carpet; the restaurant seats were stained, the cutlery wasn’t clean, breakfast was uneven and didn’t justify the €13.90, and overall the hotel felt old, poorly maintained, with passive staff, little service spirit, or insufficient training.
