The location in Mazunte was great and the hosts were pleasant; the project with the crabs was beautiful and the idea was nice. Unfortunately it no longer looks like the photos, it needs maintenance, and the hygiene was far below standard. In the evening a cat was in our bed, and in the morning we woke up in a bed full of insects. We left one night earlier.

The place is a charm. Sergio, the owner, is super kind and available. It’s a reservation for Mazunte crabs; the cabins are perfect with mosquetera (essential there) and the beds are the most comfortable I’ve experienced in any accommodation. Thank you very much and support the project.

I could talk with Sergio about why this conservation project was created; we need more people who are conscious, nature lovers, and especially care about an endangered ecosystem. The crabs have returned and are essential for the balance of this part of the coast. Congratulations, Sergio, you did a great job. I left during low season, and the shower cleaning could have been better; the dry bathrooms are cleaned daily.

A brilliant and unique experience in the mangroves! Pack bug spray. Mosquitoes, but that’s expected! Beds have nets.

The location, everything they build, and the big hearts of the people working there. There’s a chicken you can pet. You see sooo many Mazunte crabs 🦀, that luckily did not go extinct, thanks to the great work of the lovely people there.
