“Very unhappy with the view. Felt cheated.”
The location was good, but the room didn’t actually offer a lake view as advertised—just a few inches of shore with sand hidden by trees, so the ad should not claim “lake view”.
“意外なことがたくさん。”
The place was compact and clean, with the lake right in front offering great scenery; breakfast was a self‑service hot‑sandwich station, which helped keep the room rate low, and I was happy to see a salad option. The downside was that the no‑dinner plan meant we had to eat elsewhere, but most nearby restaurants close by 6 pm; the discount voucher we received for the hotel couldn’t be used because there was a one‑hour wait and the price was steep, and we weren’t told this at booking—several families ended up without dinner.
If you care about location, there are better hotels within four blocks; if you care about food, breakfast is just a self‑serve toast bar and the dinner is a bland nine‑piece sushi set—enough to fill you up but nothing special. As for service, this was my first time at a hot‑spring hotel having to make the bed myself, no menu was given at dinner, we never knew when dishes would arrive, and after eating the room was left a mess that was barely cleared. I’d give it a score that can’t even go negative because I can’t understand how they justify this price.
“斬新でステキな宿”
The room came with a water dispenser and the lounge let us enjoy drinks and snacks whenever we wanted; there’s a kids’ play area called Asobiba, which is ideal for families, and the grand piano that guests can play was a nice touch. However, the bathroom and washbasin share a single unit, which becomes inconvenient with many people, and both the lounge and Asobiba close at 21:00, so extending their hours would have been better.
“廁所浴室跟飛機上的一樣小”
The hotel is close to the lake shore, but breakfast only offered toast and simple drinks.
