Punakaiki Beachfront Motels are situated alongside Paparoa National Park, 30 metres from the sea. The motels offer self-contained cottages, houses, and private studios with outdoor seating, cooking facilities, cable TV, and a dining setting. Guests can walk to Pancake Rocks, cafes, and restaurants. The Paparoa National Park Visitor Centre is a 3-minute drive away, and Christchurch Airport is 3.5 hours' drive from the motels.

Getting there was easy and the location is great; the staff were lovely and everything was very clean. The tavern offers great food and a cozy atmosphere, and we enjoyed our stay. The bedroom was very small and felt a bit stuffy, so we left the bedroom door open to the living area. A huge bright emergency exit sign lights up the entire apartment, making it hard to sleep, and the loud analog clock adds to the noise. I would have preferred just darkness and the sound of the ocean. I’m being nit‑picky, but everything else was fantastic.

Shower water pressure was terrible. Could be improved easily by fitting pressure booster. One of the towels had brown stain on it
