The location is excellent, service is great, the staff are friendly, the lobby gives a different experience, the room is pleasant and clean. I would have preferred a larger room; the bar opens at very specific hours, and coffee is served only from a relatively late morning time.

I had the pleasure of staying at Auberge Koyama for two nights, and it was a truly delightful experience. The rustic charm and comfort of southern France was beautifully recreated on Kyushu, and the French-style meals prepared by the host were exquisite, using local seasonal produce with great skill and attention. The host and his mother provided warm and generous hospitality, making us feel welcome and cared for throughout our stay.

I was enchanted by the unique building and the warm hospitality of the owner and his family. The food was incredibly delicious, and I had a wonderful time exploring the property. There were no issues or complaints during my stay - everything was perfect.

My dinner at this auberge was exceptional, with the second-generation owner-chef serving up high-quality dishes that rivaled those of western-style restaurants in Fukuoka. The serene setting, surrounded by trees and a pond with koi and birds, was the perfect backdrop for a relaxing stay. However, I did worry that if the auberge becomes too popular with repeat guests, it might be harder for others to book a stay.
