Kihnu Sadama Öömaja Guesthouse

Kihnu is 6 km long, and cars can park for 3.5 €/day at the mainland quay. Walking to Sadama Öömaja puts you 300 m from the pier. The recently renovated rooms have nice bathrooms and comfortable beds. In a couple of rooms the owner works with leather and fabrics. At first glance the place isn’t very inviting, but over time its charms—garden, outdoor tables, fruit trees—appear. I’m not sure if eating is allowed, which could be an issue since Kihnu has few dining spots that close early.

“It's close to the port, so it's fine if you just need a place to sleep.”

The location is close to the port. The woman—probably the owner—spoke rudely without hesitation; she mocked me for my short legs when I rented a bike, which felt inappropriate. On a tiny island, perhaps people aren’t taught that appearance comments are rude, but if she works in customer service she should learn better. At night, after washing my hair, I discovered there was no hairdryer and no staff to ask about it; the room was a bit cold, and I nearly caught a chill.

“Lühike peatumine sadamas”

The rooms were simple and clean—everything was as promised. A pleasant walk to the harbor fit well for a single night, and the staff were very helpful.

“Lieliska, mājīga, vienkārša naktsmītne!”

The accommodation was cozy and quiet, not far from shops. Everything needed was available: kitchen, sauna, shower, toilet, and outside a large table under the roof. Simple and efficient, with unbeatable great beds. There was nothing else worth mentioning.
