“Skiathos' luxurious 5 star stay!”
Everything about our stay was fantastic: the bed was extremely comfortable, the room was spacious and luxurious, and the hotel knew we were celebrating my partner’s 30th, so they greeted us with a bottle of bubbly, a fruit bowl, and a card. The staff arranged a surprise birthday cake at breakfast, and the reservations team responded quickly to my emails. Breakfast was delicious, offering many options and good vegan/gluten‑free choices. Two main pools and a beach kept the place uncrowded; we stayed at the end of the season when the weather was cool and rainy, so fewer people were outside. One night there was flash flooding, but the hotel’s drainage system worked well, keeping us dry while the town suffered chaotic flooded streets and buildings. Inside, the hotel stayed quiet—no rowdy drunk guests at night—and everyone seemed respectful of each other’s holidays. The location was great; we took the water taxi from the beach a couple of times, but mostly used the cheap bus to get into and out of town. Only once was the bus full, forcing us to walk about 30 minutes into Skiathos town, which was a straightforward stroll. I’ll definitely return. The only caveat is to be careful when booking a garden view room: our balcony faced plain astroturf and the roof of the breakfast room rather than a main path, so the view wasn’t the prettiest. At the time of booking the price gap between a garden view and a sea view was significant, but a last‑minute booking made the difference minimal, so if possible, book a better room for a more enjoyable view.
