“Consigliatissimo.”
A stunning stanza carved into tuff, with a huge double bed that comfortably slept two adults and a 12‑year‑old girl, complete with a beautiful stone headboard and a carved stone footboard. The spacious bathroom boasts high‑quality finishes and a double whirlpool tub made of masonry and stone/grès tiles, plus a fridge and kettle. I would have liked a small kitchenette, and the room feels a bit dark both by day—only one small window—and by night, because the artificial lights are too dim. Even though it’s in central Urgup, finding it by car is tricky, both on the first visit and later.
Very close to the main streets and square, also had everything needed in the room (besides good internet) and they took our the garbage regularly, also changed the towels once for a 5night stay. - the people working there didn’t know a word of English - because of the language barrier or don’t know why because they couldn’t explain, we got breakfast only on the very first day and never again. They couldn’t even tell us when it is served and if at all - phone service and internet connection extremely poor in the room - bathroom smelled of sewage - the bed was circular with two mattresses next to each other which made it a bit uncomfortable - stone was crumbling in the room
“Aceptable”
The location and beauty of the place were great. The staff didn’t speak English, so we had to use an online translator. The rooms were very hot and only had a single fan.
“遗憾”
The location in town is good, but the three rooms I booked, especially room 201, had no heating and were freezing; the bathroom shower was broken, and the hotel didn’t serve breakfast—after we pressed the issue they grudgingly gave us a few slices of bread, and we feel compensation is due.
We appreciated the raw, rough feel of the building and its atmosphere. The bathroom was close to the bed, which was unavoidable.
