The location and surroundings are great, and the facility itself is very nice, but after a very warm welcome there was almost no further contact with friendly staff; we repeatedly felt that especially untrained staff were either uninterested or overwhelmed, and hardly anyone spoke English, leading to many disappointments on both sides. The breakfast selection was limited, empty plates were often only refilled after a specific request, and occasionally the room wasn’t cleaned or redecorated to make the small offering look appetizing, even though enough staff were nearby. The lack of English skills caused further frustration because people often didn’t respond, and when an order was finally placed, it was repeatedly incorrect. We had a far better experience and much better, cheerful service over a two‑week period in various 2‑ or 3‑star hotels during our Thailand tour. In short, we cannot justify the 4‑star category; the price of 265€/night is far too high and not warranted by the ecological philosophy.
