The rooms were spacious with good comfort, but the building sits right on a busy, loud street—though not all rooms could hear it, we still felt quite restless, though there are worse spots. The breakfast didn’t impress much.

The location was handy, yet the bathroom was a little tired—paint was peeling, mould was present, and the whole place had a stale smell that needed attention.

The food was good and the staff were friendly, but the rooms felt dated and not very clean.

The staff were great and easy to find; the spa was fabulous. The room was clean and tidy, pillows very comfy, though the bathroom felt a bit tired and one of the beds was also a bit worn. The steak dinner was excellent and very reasonably priced, making the overall stay great value for the price. On the downside, the bathroom door opened inward into the loo, and my big toe caught it as I was leaving. The bed was a bit old and creaky.

The stay was quiet, but the 8oz steak burger turned out to be a “Carpet” burger—better to avoid.
