“Отель нужно закрыть по санитарным показаниям”
The hotel’s location was good, but that’s about it. The room was damp, with a sewage smell that wouldn’t dissipate, ants, and mold. We stayed there for three nights before moving to another nearby hotel for roughly the same price, which was much better. After we checked out, we asked if they could clean, but we don’t know if they did. For those three days, we had no housekeeping or towel changes, and the towels stayed damp in the humid room (I saw other guests’ responses, and they said they weren’t in the room during the day). It was impossible to stay there, so cleaning could have been done many times during that period. A socket next to the bed sparked, the lighting was dim, and not all bulbs worked. The hotel needs a major overhaul. I won’t say anything about the gels, shampoos, or soap—there were only two cheap small tubes for three people. Toilet paper was not refilled for four days; we had to buy it ourselves. Breakfast wasn’t included; it was extra on order. On the third day, a scorpion was found in the bathroom, and I read that they love dampness and ants, which were abundant in the bath. We know the old town, and another hotel in the same area can be good without ants, dampness, or scorpions, so no need to reference that. We had no internet for three days, and they mentioned some outages, but the neighboring café had internet all those days. It’s clear the hotel is cheap, but to be so below expectations is odd. Living there was unsafe for health; after staying, mold appeared on our toothbrushes (no need to explain the biology; smart people will understand that fungus thrives in that environment). Mold spores can reach the lungs. Everything smelled of sewage, but that can be fixed.
