Max is an amazing person. He treated me like family and made me feel at home. I went kayaking with him as a guide and fished on a dock! You’ll also love his little dog Sur! Highly recommended.

Max’s service was great! I didn’t like the service offered by the booking platform; the website information didn’t match reality. I booked a room but ended up sleeping in a tent, which is misleading advertising. In Brazil this is a serious offense, the CDC strictly forbids it. This conduct is a crime against the popular economy. I expect the platform to respond, investigate the issue, and provide compensation. I’ve had similar problems on other trips and have been a long‑time customer. I’ll wait for action.

Max was very friendly and welcoming. He recommended a small restaurant close to the campsite that was delicious, and also pointed out places to visit around the campsite and Saco do Céu. The dormitory beds had mosquito nets, making the night pleasant. The campsite wasn’t ready to host guests; many facilities were worn or non‑functional, blankets on the beds were dirty with sand, dirt, or hair that fell into the bed at night. For the price (~R$150/person/night or ~25€/person/night), repairs and more cleanliness are needed.

Max runs the place like a champ and will go out of his way to help you discover saco do ceu and meet any need you have, but the facilities could use a touch of upkeep.
